Xquared 라이선스는 2007년 10월 12일 현재 LGPLv3이고, LGPLv3는 GPLv3와 호환이 됩니다. MetaBBS의 경우 GPLv2로 버전을 명시하고 있는데, 이는 정확히 GPLv2 만을 의미하는 것이 아니라 "GPLv2 및 그 이후 버전"을 의미하는 것 같습니다(either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version). 따라서 쓰셔도 될 것 같습니다. 자세한 내용은 아래 인용문 참고(metabbs의 LICENSE.txt 중에서 인용하였습니다): 9.
